Privacy policy

Check My Waste Carrier (checkmywastecarrier.co.uk) is operated by ARK MEDIA MARKETING (UK) LTD, the data controller for personal data collected through this site.

What we collect

If you submit the quote request or business listing form we store the details you enter (such as name, email, phone, postcode and your message) together with the date and an approximate country derived from your connection. Searches of the register are not linked to you.

How we use it and who we share it with

With your consent, we pass quote requests to licensed waste carriers who cover your area so they can contact you with a quote. This may include our Verified partners, which are carriers that pay ARK MEDIA MARKETING (UK) LTD to be featured on this site. If you ask for a quote from a named partner, we send your request to that partner first and may pass it to other licensed carriers if they can't help. Each carrier that receives your enquiry handles your details under its own privacy policy.

Business listing requests are used to contact you about listing your business and our Verified partner scheme. We do not sell your details for unrelated marketing.

Service providers

The site runs on Cloudflare (hosting, security and database). Form submissions are emailed to us and on to carriers using Resend, an email delivery provider, which processes the message content on our behalf. These providers may process data outside the UK under appropriate safeguards.

Lawful basis

We rely on your consent (which you can withdraw at any time) to share quote requests, and on our legitimate interests to run and secure the site.

Retention and your rights

We keep form submissions for no longer than necessary, and for no more than 24 months. Under UK GDPR you can ask for access to, correction of, or deletion of your data. To exercise these rights or withdraw consent, use the contact form or reply to any email we send you. You can also complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ico.org.uk).

Cookies

We only use a necessary cookie to remember your cookie choices, and no analytics or marketing cookies unless you accept them. See our cookie policy.
